Discus 4,28m
The Discus with a wing span of 4 286mm is a remote control sailplane in 1: 3.5 scale. It is a fully moulded model fortified with carbon at the root of the wing. 12% thickness of the profile allows for smooth penetration in the wind, which makes the model suitable for extreme soaring.
The fuselage of the Discus is made of fiberglass. The cockpit has a moulded seat. The cockpit is equipped with seat covers, upholstered side panels, control levers, a control panel.
The wing is of sandwich construction, made of fiberglass and Herex sandwich materials. The wing spar has a carbon rovings. The wing is attached to the fuselage by a one or twoo round steel or carbon bar of 14mm diameter.
The sailplane Discus comes standard equipped with Schempp-Hirth airbrakes, retractable landing gear. The model has the immatriculation and stickers applied. If the customer wishes, the colour of the standard decals can be changed or these can be completely custom made.
With basic equipment, the Discus requires seven (7) servos, i.e., elevator, rudder, ailerons, airbrakes, and retractable landing gear.
